After stuffing your faces on thanksgiving, kick back a little and contemplate what is art? Here is your challenge. Tell me about the artist, and yes this was displayed as a work of art. He is known for representing a certain art movement that this work is associated with. Tell me about it! Have a good turkey day!

Personally, I don't like it a bit. But that doesn't necessarily mean it isn't art. Who knows, maybe people look at this... I think its a fountain... and have a special feeling or emotion that comes from it.
That's what I believe art is. Something that doesn't just make you look... something that makes you think as well. Something, anything, that has different effects on different people. That's the part that makes it art. If people look at something and say the exact same thing, have the exact same thoughts about it, I don't think you can call it art. It has to invoke a unique feeling in every single person that sees it and interprets it.
So this.... um.... personally, I don't think its art. I am not sure that we can all look at it and say "Hmmm... this represents the internal struggle of ...." But who knows. Maybe some people do.
